Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026 · Company opened: October 1, 2026
1. Purpose of this policy
This Cookie Policy explains the browser technologies relevant to the Corten Mechanism website. It was last updated on October 9, 2026. It should be read alongside the Privacy Policy because cookies and similar technologies can involve technical information about a device or visit.
The website is designed for Shopify. The custom sections supplied for this website and the wider store platform are different technical layers. This policy distinguishes the behaviour of the custom sections from functions that may be introduced by Shopify, a theme or an installed application.
2. Cookies and related technologies
A cookie is a small piece of information that a website or service asks a browser to store and return with later requests. Cookies may support security, preferences, session management, measurement or advertising. Session cookies generally expire when a browsing session ends; persistent cookies remain until their expiration or removal.
Related technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels and similar identifiers. Their purposes and controls differ. A request for an image, font or script is not necessarily a cookie, although the receiving provider may process technical information associated with that request.
3. Behaviour of the supplied custom sections
The supplied Corten Mechanism sections do not intentionally set cookies or write visitor information to local storage or session storage. Menu state, selected nodes, service choices and form entries are managed in the page while it is open. These temporary interface states are not an advertising profile.
The project form validates its fields and generates a local reference code. It does not submit the entries to a server, create a persistent enquiry record or save the reference in browser storage. Completing that interaction does not activate analytics, remarketing or a marketing subscription.
4. Shopify and theme functions
Shopify and the installed theme may use technologies needed for hosting, security, customer sessions, consent management or other enabled store functions. Their actual behaviour depends on the store's configuration and the features a visitor uses.
This policy does not provide an invented list of cookie names or lifetimes. Such a list should be based on the cookies present in the installed store after the theme and applications have been configured. Platform changes can alter that inventory, so it should be reviewed when material technical changes are made.
5. Fonts, images and connected providers
The supplied design loads Space Grotesk, Manrope and IBM Plex Mono through Google Fonts. A visitor's browser therefore makes requests to that service. These requests may disclose technical details, including an IP address and browser information, to the provider as part of delivering the fonts.
The supplied photographs, logo and favicon are intended to be uploaded to Shopify and delivered through its file infrastructure. WebGL animation runs in the visitor's browser and does not need a separate tracking service. The interactive illustrations do not call an AI service or send the visitor's actions to an AI provider.
6. Analytics and advertising
No analytics service, advertising pixel, remarketing tag, cross-site audience-building script or social-media widget is included in the supplied custom code. The existence of an AI automation business does not mean that the marketing website analyses visitors with AI.
If measurement or advertising tools are added later, the company must assess their purposes, data flows and consent requirements. Non-essential technologies should not be activated before any legally required consent is obtained. This policy and the store's consent controls must reflect the resulting configuration.
7. Consent choices and browser controls
Where a consent interface is present, use it to manage the categories it actually controls. The supplied custom sections do not create a cookie banner or pretend to manage technologies outside their control. A store-level consent tool must be configured against the technologies used by the store.
You can also delete stored cookies, block certain cookies or change privacy settings through your browser. Blocking necessary technologies may affect platform features such as authentication or other enabled store functions. Browser controls vary by provider and version. Clearing cookies does not necessarily remove information already held by a third-party service.
8. Privacy signals and third-party services
Some browsers offer privacy signals or settings that limit tracking. The effect of a signal depends on the relevant service, its technical support and the law that applies. We do not claim that the supplied interface implements a universal opt-out for every third-party platform.
Third-party providers are responsible for their own technology and notices. Installing an application, embedding media or adding a tag can introduce additional processing even when the custom sections remain unchanged. Such additions should be reviewed before publication.
9. Review, changes and enquiries
The company should review this policy when adding an application, changing a theme, introducing analytics, enabling advertising or altering the form's transmission behaviour. The updated version should describe the actual configuration and show an accurate update date.
